Common questions

Does it work without cell service?

Yes. Jobs, lines and pins are saved on your phone and sync to your company when you're back in service. Map pictures you've looked at are kept on the phone; before heading somewhere with no service, zoom to the site and tap Save this area for offline.

How do I import a KMZ from Google Earth?

In ROW Mapper, open the menu, tap Import map file and pick the KMZ. Or, from the Files app, Mail or Google Earth, use Share → ROW Mapper. Lines, pins, folders, colors and descriptions come in. Items the file doesn't give a location for are kept and listed under Features.

How do I add my crew?

Admins open Team to see the company's join code. Crew members tap Join my company and enter the code, then the admin approves them. Admins can also invite people by email and give clients view-only access to specific jobs.

How accurate is it?

Phone GPS is usually within about 10–16 ft in open sky and can be off by 50 ft or more near buildings, trees or equipment. A professional GPS receiver (RTK) can be within inches when set up correctly. ROW Mapper shows the GPS accuracy of every point you mark.

What happens if my subscription ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your jobs stay viewable and exportable; adding or editing is paused until the subscription is renewed.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Account → Delete my account. See the Privacy Policy for what is removed and what your company keeps.
