ROW Mapper Privacy Policy
ROW Mapper is made by RR Digital ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we use your information only to run the app for you and your company. There are no ads, no tracking, and we don't sell or share personal information.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address, a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) and the display name you choose.
- Company: your company's name, your role (admin, crew or client), join requests, and the email addresses admins invite.
- Map data: the jobs, lines, pins, notes, details, colors, image overlays and map files you create or import, plus a history of changes showing who made each change and when.
- Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Information the app collects
- Location: with your permission, the app uses your phone's location while it is open to show where you are and to place the lines and pins you record. The coordinates and GPS accuracy of the points you save are stored as part of your map data. The app does not track you in the background.
- Crew location sharing (optional): if you turn it on, your live position is shown to signed-in members of your company while the app is open. It is not saved, and you can turn it off at any time.
- Device ID: a random ID the app creates, used to enforce how many devices a plan allows.
- Notice acceptance: when you accept the app's accuracy and safety notice, we record your account ID, email, the notice version, the time, and basic device and app information, as a record of the agreement.
- Free trial: a normalized form of your email address, so each email gets one free trial.
How we use it
- To sign you in, sync your work across your devices and your company, and keep it backed up.
- To let admins manage their team and control who can see and edit each job.
- To run subscriptions, trials and device limits.
- To answer support requests and fix problems.
Who can see your data
- Your company: map data in company jobs is shared with the members of your company who have access to those jobs, including clients an admin has given access to. Your display name appears on the items you mark and edit. Solo accounts are not shared with anyone.
- Service providers who run parts of the app for us, under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage) — supabase.com/privacy
- Map and satellite image providers, which receive requests for map pictures of the area on screen, along with your device's IP address
- Apple, for App Store purchases and subscriptions — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users or others.
We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
Payments
Subscriptions bought in the app are handled by Apple. We never see your card or billing details.
Keeping and deleting your data
- On your phone: jobs are stored in the app so they work offline. Deleting the app removes them from the phone.
- Delete your account: in the app, open Account → Delete my account. This deletes your sign-in, your profile and your device records. If you are the last person in your company or a Solo user, your company's jobs and map data are deleted too.
- Company records: lines and pins you added to a company's jobs belong to that company and stay with it after you leave or delete your account, so its records stay complete. Ask your company admin about removing them.
- We keep the notice-acceptance record and the free-trial record after an account is deleted, as proof of the agreement and to prevent repeat trials.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and the server only lets each person read and change what their role and company allow. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Children
ROW Mapper is a work tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices and rights
- You can turn off location access in iPhone Settings. You'll still be able to view and export maps, and to place points by hand.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
