ROW Mapper Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and RR Digital ("we", "us") for the ROW Mapper app and service. By using ROW Mapper you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you agree for that company too, and confirm you're allowed to.
1. This is a documentation tool
- The app records lines, equipment and notes that you and your crew enter. It is for record keeping, reference, and helping find the general area of things you have already located.
- The app does not locate, detect, or verify any buried line or facility. It cannot see underground and does not check whether anything you mark is correct.
- It is not a substitute for 811 (one-call) locates, proper locating equipment, a qualified locator, a professional survey, or the facility owner's official records.
2. You are responsible for what you mark
- You and your company decide where lines and equipment are and what they are, and are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, edit, import, share, or export.
- Check your work in the field. Do not rely on the app, or on anything someone else entered, as proof of where something is.
- Make sure you have permission to be on the property, and the right to record, import and share the information you put in the app.
3. How close the locations are
- Phone GPS is usually within about 10–16 ft (3–5 m) in open sky, and can be off by 50 ft or more near buildings, trees, equipment, or in bad conditions. Straightening and snapping can move points slightly.
- A professional GPS receiver (RTK) can be within inches, but only when set up correctly with a correction signal and checked in the field. It can still be wrong.
- No GPS shows depth. Depth and other details are whatever someone typed in.
- Maps, satellite photos, road names, overlays, and imported files come from other sources and may be outdated, misaligned, or wrong.
4. Before any digging or excavation
- Always contact 811 (or your state's one-call center), wait the required time, and dig only according to the marks made by the facility owners' locators.
- Follow your company's procedures, safe digging practices, and all laws and regulations that apply to your work, including one-call and pipeline safety rules.
- Emergency: if you smell gas, damage a line, or see a leak, move away to a safe place and call 911 and the facility owner. Do not use the app in place of emergency procedures.
5. Accounts and companies
- Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Company admins control who joins, what role they have, and which jobs clients can see. Map data in company jobs belongs to the company.
- You keep ownership of the data you put in the app. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you and your company.
6. Subscriptions and trials
- Plans are billed as shown in the app. Subscriptions bought through the App Store are charged to your Apple ID, renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and are managed and refunded through Apple's account settings.
- Each email address can use one free trial.
- A Solo plan is for one person, signed in on one device at a time, and can't be shared.
- If a plan ends or isn't renewed, nothing is deleted: jobs stay viewable and exportable, and adding or editing is paused until a plan is active again.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use ROW Mapper to break the law, to access data you aren't allowed to, to interfere with the service or other users, or to copy, resell or reverse engineer the app. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Sharing and exports
Exported files and shared jobs carry the same limits: they are approximate records, not verified locations. Make sure anyone you share them with understands that.
9. No guarantee; limits of liability
- The app, its maps, and its data are provided "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee that they are accurate, complete, available, or error-free.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, RR Digital is not liable for any damage, injury, loss, fines, or costs arising from use of the app or its data, including damage to buried facilities, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
- You agree that you and your company, not RR Digital, are responsible for decisions made using information in the app, and you agree to cover claims brought against us arising from your use of it.
10. Changes and ending the service
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant, we'll ask you to accept it in the app. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
